When scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall as a solution to overpopulation, Paul and his wife Audrey decide to abandon their stressed lives in order to get small and move to a new downsized community — a choice that triggers life-changing adventures.
Coming from acclaimed director Alexander Payne I expected a very interesting and thought-provoking movie, but what we got instead was an overlong, over-written, message heavy misfire!
Throughout the entire movie I felt as though I was getting shouted at, preached and and told of for things I haven’t done! Hey, I recycle so don’t blame me for the world going to sh*t.
Kristen Wigg was ridiculously underused (had no more than 10 minutes screen time) even though she was advertised as the second lead!
It was very disjointed, and advertised as a completely different movie – it went everywhere where I didn’t want it to go, and it was by no means a comedy.
