Meg Murry and her little brother, Charles Wallace, have been without their scientist father, Mr. Murry, for five years, ever since he discovered a new planet and used the concept known as a tesseract to travel there. Joined by Meg’s classmate Calvin O’Keefe and guided by the three mysterious astralΒ travelers known as Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which, the children brave a dangerous journey to a planet that possesses all of the evil in the universe.

How is it that Disney live-action movies are always either absolutely amazing… or absolute train wrecks? This movie is the probably the worst in their live action library.

It tries to be something it isn’t, and I understand that this movie is mostly oriented towards kids, but it’s based on a YA book so they should’ve catered to everyone.

The CGI is unacceptable in this day of age, and even though the cast is amazing – they are all so hammy and campy it hurts to watch!

This movie is a total embarrassment, and it’s a shame because the story is brilliant, but it’s as though the creators decided “kids like bright colours and simplicity, so let’s do that!”. Awful!
