Ant-Man and the Wasp

2018 (UK), Action/Science Fiction, 2h 5m

Starring: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Hannah John-Kamen, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Pena & Laurence Fishburne

Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.

This comparatively lighthearted, optimistic sequel provides the laughs us Marvel fans sure needed after the heartbreaking intensity of Infinity War!

Rudd and Lilly bounce off each other fantastically delivering a laugh a minute in this goofy superhero movie.

The villain was quite forgettable, but creepy, and by the end of the film you really start to feel sorry for, and root for her – I hope she’ll be back in the future.

The set pieces were bigger this time around, giving us some epic chases and fight sequences to rival some of the big players in the MCU.

The final scenes lead nicely into the next film in the franchise, what we now know will be titled Avengers: Endgame – and I for one cannot wait to see Scott team up with the Avengers once more!
